13 Important Lessons Learned Early in Life if You Are Paying Attention
The only problem is most aren’t paying attention.
I’ve been on a rough road the last 2–3 years as I’ve been trying to find my way. When I think I have things somewhat figured out, I get bitch slapped back into reality.
I journal a lot in hopes I can see patterns in my behaviors, actions, and thoughts, and most of the time, it isn’t easy. For many lessons, I keep returning to retake the class. The only issue with that is I already learned the lesson, and I can’t figure it out while I keep repeating something that no longer serves its purpose in my life.
Here are 13 lessons I try and focus on and take each day as it comes.
Opinions
What others think of me is none of your business. It used to consume my thoughts about what others think of me, and it still does to a certain degree. I’m learning to separate the “healthy” validation every human needs and the “unhealthy” validation that will lead you down the dark hole of people-pleasing. And keep the wrong, very toxic people in your life.
