16 Simple Untold Life Lessons I’ve Learned on My Journey
Some days are easier than others, but one thing for sure is change is never easy.
Yes, I am that person, “Do as I say, not as I do.” I’m also that person who says, “Take my advice because I’m not using it.”
Breaking years of conditioning are no easy feat. If change was so easy, everyone would be doing it. It’s much easier to stay stuck in a miserable comfort than try and work on significant change. It’s been a slow crawl with many bumps and roadblocks, but I keep pushing forward.
Sometimes I feel like I take one step forward and five back, which can get quite discouraging over time. Sometimes the harder I try, the more of a mess I make of situations. I’ve also noticed that some of the anxiety I experience isn’t necessarily bad. When I feel the anxiety creeping in, it’s because there is a positive change in my life that I subconsciously self-sabotage, if that makes sense?
Below is a simple list of lessons I have learned on my journey. Some were more painful than others, and I am sure the list will grow as I continue a less traveled path.
- Start a friendship first, then the relationship.
- Treat people how you want to be treated.
