At 47, I question a lot of things. And the older I get, the more I think about death. I feel many don’t think about death much until they experience it with a close friend or family member. And if you were to experience it yourself, you wouldn’t have time to think about it anyways.

I have never been certified in CPR, and I thought taking a class might not be a bad idea with my upcoming travel plans. This leads me to my first life-saving tip.

CPR

If you are ever in the position where you must address CPR, don’t stop until the medics arrive. Many will quit after a minute or two, thinking it’s too late, the person has passed. In reality, CPR is basically used to preserve a corpse to keep it in a revivable state until the medics arrive. It’s essential to keep air flowing to the lungs and blood pumping to the heart and brain. So keep pumping until help arrives!

Service Dogs

If you have a service dog approach you, or see one wandering, follow that dog. He is probably making a last-ditch effort to find help for his owner, who is probably in distress. Remember Service Dogs are equipped with a red vest or harness.
