A Simple Reason Most Fail at Sobriety

It’s not a pleasant feeling to begin with, but neither is a hangover.

Because in the beginning, sobriety doesn’t fucking feel good. People want the escape that works which eventually stops working. It might take years to get there, but eventually you will be drinking/drugging to maintain a level of misery the substance no longer makes better.

That, and the anxiety the day after using, is better than the day they decided to use. Did that make sense to you?

Sobriety isn’t just a abstinence from drugs, alcohol, or society, I mean, social media. It could be a way of life. We all struggle with something, even if you live that “perfect” life you think you don’t.

No one wants to face their deepest, darkest demons. They always replace them with something, or someone, could be that next 12 step meeting, drink, donuts, toxic asshole, etc

They fail because the way of life they live, is easier than the way of life they are seeking.

Being fucked up, and delusional to the hypocrisy of life is easier than living life itself.

The world isn’t sober. And it has nothing to do with alcohol, or drugs.

That’s the problem.

Once you “see” it, you can’t “unsee” it.

Cheers bitch.

Look around if you dare.
