If you know my track record, I am not an expert in relationships or good at them. I’ve dated three girls my entire life, but the lessons I have come to learn are priceless.

Without the ups, downs, break-ups, and pain, I wouldn’t slowly be figuring out what I want and don’t want in a future partner. The most challenging part is finding someone somewhat similar who isn’t polar opposite or completely off their rocker. I never understood the saying “opposites attract.” That is the biggest line of horse shit I have ever heard.

The three girls I dated all had similar interests as mine; even the dysfunctional part of the relationship, we shared commonalities! But unfortunately the unstable part of the relationships won in the end, and I am Ok with it. With the pain came some of my greatest lessons.

If more people put thought into the actual screening process of dating and get to know one another before jumping all in, there would be more successful long-term relationships in my opinion.
