Here is Medium, being Medium. After screwing over the writers in earnings because of a “glitch” with “AI,” now they are taking away a lucrative earning tool of many writers. Once they decided to slash back in 2023. Now they have all the followers we brought to the platform, while sticking it right in our tailpipe once they got what they needed.
The referral program was a option that encouraged writers to share the Medium platform. But it appears Medium doesn’t care about that any more, and more so could care less about you, the writer. Because lets face it, there are very few readers here just for the wonderful literature. Most are reading in hopes of escaping the matrix Medium has gaslighted you into believing you can write your way out of.
