At What Point in Life Does a Person Start Valuing Time More?
Unfortunately, I don’t think many ever do until it’s too late.
I believe as you age, and life roughs you up a bit with bad choices, behaviors, conditioning, and consequences the “bigger” picture begins to develop. Even then most fail to see it.
While time is vital, and can’t be bought, neither can health. Some will disagree.
But sometimes it takes time to repair an unhealthy life of bad choices, and behaviors, then what do you do when your time’s up prematurely? Regret?
I don’t value time as much as I do health now, because without health, it doesn’t matter how much time you have left. Sometimes your health is beyond repair, even if you haven’t lived to the median age of 75 for men, and 80 for women. I’m not sure I’ll make it to that age.
It’s been a rough road, but not to sound all sappy, but the true meaning of life is starting to come to light at 50 years old. Now I’m fighting like hell to live a life from learned lessons and consequences. To better myself in all aspects, and in return be a better person to those who are in my life.
Life is all about experiences in reality. What are you doing with the time you have here on earth?
