Do Narcissists Ever Defend The Person They Abuse?
Well, well, they will if it benefits them.
Abso-fucking-lutely!
But not like you think; they have to be gaining something if they will defend your ass. It could be they need some cash, yea, that’s it. If their well is running dry, or you were unfortunate enough to marry the asshole and have alimony, well, yea, they will defend you until you upset them. But they will go back and forth. If you are behaving and giving them money, they will defend you.
As long as you have something they want, then YES, they will defend you.
Say you are a fuck up, or maybe not even a fuck up, just someone working through some shit, and you were lucky enough to find them. Then, of course, they will make sure and paint you as the fucked up one, and all they are doing is trying to “love you to health!”
They love to look like the savior, the one that came in, and you need them. Look how “good” they are sticking by your side through all your trouble.
But what the outsiders looking in don’t realize is you are under their spell, and they are manipulating, lying, and cheating on your while painting you as the fucked up one. Projection at its finest.
