Hey!

Hello out there! Can you hear me? It’s me, little boy. I’ve been trying to get your attention for 40+ years, but you don’t listen.

I’ve been scared shitless in here for years, and you do nothing to comfort me. I know you’re afraid, too. You and I both know what you are doing is not working.

I’ve wanted to discuss some things from YEARS ago, and I feel ignored each time I show up.

I know you feel this too, but you are uncertain. I need you as much as you need me. We can tackle these issues together and create a better life. A life free from self-sabotage and abuse.

I’ve never told you, but I don’t like drinking all that beer because it causes me more anxiety. And sometimes you feed me too much when I’m not hungry. And all we do is run, run, run, don’t you get tired? What are you running from? I’m here to help you. It would help if you trusted me. I know what you need, and it’s not space.

You introduced me to three women over the years that remind me more and more about what we need to discuss. It reminds me of what we went through about 40 years ago. Every time I get ever so close to your touch, you run. Why do you run?
