Do You Follow to Get Followers?
If so, you might be going about it all wrong
I’ve been reading articles with writers worried about the 100 follower minimum required in 2022 to monetize articles.
Most writers don’t realize that it doesn’t matter how many followers you have if you don’t write on topics people want. Followers won’t read. They’re doing the exact thing you’re doing, “following to get followers.”
You can have 5,000 followers and if your topics don’t hit your target audience, you will make $0.
I started my writing journey after a very manipulative and abusive relationship. I didn’t start on Medium; I started next door at Quora.
I took a “leap of faith” into writing in search of sanity! I’d been to three therapists. Each one kept telling me the same thing; “The relationship sounds like the typical Codependent and Narcissistic dance. You need to leave.”
They made it sound so easy.
If you have suffered any form of Narcissistic manipulation, you will know finding a therapist specializing in Cluster B abuse is next to impossible. The abuse can’t be explained unless you experience it, and no college degree will substitute experience!
