Kids are born into shit hole families, raised by parents that shouldn’t own a hamster, let alone have a kid. We are taught to go against our values for those around us or sacrifice for the “greater” good. We become a shadow of others and never experience who “we” are or who “we” want to be.

Dream big, but don’t pursue the dream

A kid’s dream is usually shattered by a parent trying to relive their “fuck ups” through their kids. Is that fair? I see so many kids that hate sports but play them because their dad was a mediocre player that didn’t succeed. So he sits in the parking lot, pre-game, chugging beers talking about the one touchdown he made 30 fucking years ago. Way to go, Dad! It’s not about you, asshole! For once, can you quit thinking about yourself!?

And we have the kids taking vicious ass beatings because that’s how their parents were raised! What a novel fucking way to rationalize abuse and justify an abuser! We are taught to forgive our parents because it’s what they knew. So, bypass the most important stage in healing from trauma, “anger,” and skip right to forgiveness! Hello doormat, heroin, alcohol, sex addiction and Mr. Fucking Perfection!
