A stable home environment where they feel safe, and can explore who “they” are is a great start. It’s not about what the parents want them to become, it’s guiding them to become who they will be.

I know, I know. You parents out there think you have all the answers or know what kind of life you want Carl to live, but what about what she wants?

I’m not talking about a child who is questioning their sexuality and wants to pump their 10 year old body full of hormones, and chop their wiener off to “feel” something.

If you support this you should stop reading this article. Because you are the type of parent who should come with a warning.

A child needs a family dynamic that pushes their boat gently in the water, while leaving it up to the child to navigate, while learning how to properly sail.

So many parents nowadays want to sail the boat for them to avoid the turbulent seas ahead, but that;’s not how parenting works.

This doesn’t mean the parent is no where around and throws the child to the “sharks.”
