How do You Tell a Narcissist They Are Narcissists?

Depends on what type of Narcissism you are dealing with. But in general, it’s never good to diagnosis anyone for anything, even narcissism. I know, I am the “King” of labels. Man I love to throw the labels around, even on myself.

But if you MUST tell the Narcissists you have to calculate your plan of attack.

First, get the notion out of your mind they are going to accept it and have that “ah, ha” moment.

Second, do you even know they are a narcissists? I mean, I know most of us “think” we know they are, but convincing them, or anyone for that matter they have some kind of disorder will be no easy feat.

It’s human nature to deflect, deny and get upset, not just with narcissism. Unless you are highly aware and open to this form of “constructive” criticism.

If you think they’re narcissists you best make sure you know which one they are.

You would have an easier time saying this to a Covert, than say a Malignant or Grandiose. Just make sure you hit the covert when they are in the vulnerable stage.
