How Does One Get to Believe in Oneself?

I believe it’s a lot of trial and error, taking the good with the bad.

I’d say to start doing things to show yourself you’re worth believing in.

  • Get rid of toxic people.
  • Eat healthy and get out and exercise.
  • Do what you say and say what you mean.
  • If you find a habit of offering unsolicited advice, take the advice you are soliciting first.
  • Be respectful in times you want to show anger.
  • Have boundaries and put yourself first. You are no use to anyone or yourself being a doormat.
  • Once you commit to something do it until finish.
  • Start with small goals and achieve them.
  • Work on negative self-talk.
  • Work on putting your approval and validation of yourself first, before others.
  • Be open to constructive criticism.
  • We all make mistakes. But remember, repeating the same mistakes repeatedly are choices, no longer mistakes.
  • Pay attention to lessons. Because repeating the same lesson time and time again eats at your confidence and self-worth.

We are human. Life isn’t perfect and either are we.

Just try and do a smidge better than the following day and belief will come.

Hold yourself accountable, but don’t beat yourself up.
