I started my journey next door, on Quora. I began there, confused, broken, hurt, and lost trying to find answers.
I was in a very abusive relationship looking for answers. I started by asking questions. I was afraid to answer anything. What did I know? I had nothing to offer. I was 45, insecure, living in a studio apartment in Cincinnati driving Uber. Being my biggest critic, of course. I offered nothing.
I was on and off Quora from 2017–2020 asking questions and trying to figure out what the hell was going on. With asking questions, and then finally answering some, I started to get a “little” clarity.
One of my answers, went viral, on Quora . It was a random question about not paying your bill after you already ate your food. I answered it with an experience I had a few years back. The answer had nothing to do with the issues I was going through when I first found Quora.
I’m not going to lie, it was exciting. After I posted, the notifications started rolling in, so much I had to turn them off.
To date, it has 1.1 million views with 43K likes and 100’s of shares and comments. That wasn’t my most viewed answer, but the ball started rolling from there.
