How Improving Your Writing Has A Lot To Do With Consistency
The most common tactic to improve your writing is simple, write.
What is it you are trying to improve about your writing?
One thing is sure the more you write, the better you will get.
My punctuation and grammar still suck, and I have to use the dreaded Grammarly for my articles here. But on Quora, I am a little more lax, which is nice.
The more I write, the better I get; I can see it over the 2.3 years I have been writing. I have built my following to 2.3K here on Medium and close to 17,000 on Quora.
Some articles suck, and some I question who wrote it. Words just flow sometimes. Usually, when I’m really emotional.
There will be times you write and surprise yourself, and then other times you write and wonder what the hell you’re doing.
The key to getting readers to engage with your writing is to write about topics you have a passion for or life experience. Share on topics relatable to your reader
Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable in your writings and steer clear from the “mainstream” type of writing.
If you read enough, you will know what I’m talking about.
