You will think you did until you didn’t.
The majority of the world walks around thinking they are in love. They think this person they wake up to every morning is the best they can do. And in reality it is once you step back and take a look at yourself. And doing that is no easy feat.
They “think” they are in love. No, scratch that, they know they are. And no one else is going to tell them different!
Sure, there are “parts” of this person you “like,” but love? No, not hardly. After the initial lust fades, and honeymoon phase run its course, you are left with just yet another “imperfect” human, and the feelings you thought they fixed in you, but didn’t
It’s a conditioned comfort you have become accustomed to. This person has put a band-aid on one of your trauma blisters that started to leak, and you have many. And the band-aid you’re using might be tainted. It actually hurts worst sometimes.
Sooner or later that band-aid falls off and it starts oozing again.
You thought they would stop the pain, and infection, but quickly realize it was all but a temporary fix. Some cuts need more than what the purpose a band-aid is used for.
