How Striking on St. Patrick’s Day is a Bad Idea for Uber Drivers

I know you’re pissed as fuck, but you’re going about it all wrong.

I’m burned out, but this is $32 an hour with 462 miles. I could make much more with 40 hours

Listen, I’ve been a driver in Cincinnati, Ohio, for almost eight years. I know the complete shit show both Uber and Lyft have pulled on the drivers! It is immoral, but what do you expect? Driver’s keep driving!

The more significant issue is the never-ending recruitment of “new” drivers that have no idea how much it takes to run a profitable business, especially at 60c a mile!

So, let’s get to the point.

Do you want to hurt Uber? Do you want to hit them in their pocketbook and not yours?!

It sure as shit won’t happen with “strike” drivers are trying to organize across multiple cities. That shit won’t work! It has been attempted numerous times and failed miserably.

There are drivers out here doing it full time, and they have families to support! They aren’t going to sit sideline on the busiest day of the year trying to prove a point.

Uber and Lyft don’t give a fuck! They have drivers signing up daily in masses.

Have you ever noticed all the stupid ass changes Uber say they make because they “listen” to the driver, but are the dumbest fucking changes…
