How Writing is A Lot Like Going To The Gym

If you show up, good things might happen. If you sit on the sidelines, they won’t.

You know those days you get up and you don’t feel like going to the gym? The days you say, “I will go tomorrow.” Then tomorrow never comes, and before you know it, you are right back into the same routine, and nothing changes, yea, that feeling. We all love to talk about what we aren’t doing.

It can take several months at the gym to see improvement in your physical appearance, even if you are consistent with going. But in going, you are building discipline and form. You are helping your mental, physical, and spiritual health by getting that cardio and workout in.

And as time goes on and you stay consistent, your outside appearance begins to match what is transforming inside. You can feel it and see it now! Finally the hard work is paying off! What a confidence boost!

The problem is that many give up before the transformation happens.

We are all genetically different, and some build muscle mass more quickly. At the same time, others lose weight faster than others, and some people are proportioned better. And many of us have to bust our asses harder the older we get. A slew of things goes into crafting a spiritually fit body and mind…
