You love them! They NEVER say no!

And best of all, they make you feel fantastic for the most part! At least temporarily, they do.

Hell, they don’t even argue or want to have a discussion; they force you to have a conversation with yourself.

Are you following me?

They’re there in good times and bad. When it is good, it is good! But having a relationship with them can lead to guilt and shame more times than not. You know the relationship isn’t healthy, but when every other “real” relationship in your life is falling apart, they never disappoint.

And there is one you can’t escape no matter where you go! It can be complete hell. People develop unhealthy relationships with many things other than people.

It could be food, booze, pills, and, more importantly, your thoughts.

You can live life without booze or pills, but food? You can’t do it. It is so easy to comfort yourself with it, or even without it. Both are equally bad. The problem with food is we need it to survive.
