I believe she’s not calling abused women weak. From my experience abuse survivors get stuck in the victim mentality, I know I did/do and I’m a man!

I believe true survivors come out in the other side leaving the victim jacket in the closet.

Unfortunately some never recover from abuse. That’s sad. I WAS one of them. I was going to let her destroy me. I’m busting my ass to get in the right side of this abuse and it’s not easy at all. I still question my reactions and feel sorry for her, it’s sick shit!

I also believe the writer took the rejection personal, and rightly so. I believe she’s overcame abuse and is proud of herself and wanted to show others it can be done.

I may be wrong, it’s my 1c worth.
