The initial meeting was euphoric. You knew something was off, but it felt too good. They knew your every insecurity and seemed to sweep them under the carpet as if they didn’t exist.

You felt “something” like you had never felt in your life with this person. You remind yourself to straighten up! That you are acting crazy. Take it slow, or you will run this person off!

You try and pull back a little, and they pounce harder. The attention, oh god, the attention. The more and more comfortable you are with them, the more vulnerable you become.

Your guard begins to loosen as you study “who you are” and who you are determined to become YOU.

They begin the mirroring process — everything you like, they like.

You surprise them; they come back with a bigger surprise. They’ve never felt like this with anyone else but you! And man, oh, man, you can feel it!

This is “fate,” you tell yourself.
