Is Anyone Who They Say They Are?

I stopped talking months ago, I try and listen.

I hear stories.

Most stories are those that make you feel you have done, or are doing life all wrong. There is a bit of glamour to the tale they tell. But in that glamour is a hidden story, the one they aren’t telling.

The story isn’t an actual lie, it exists, at least in their world is does. I hear those talking of a business they are part owner in, but all they do is cook. They want a bigger part of just being that “cook,” but instead of trying to achieve their story, they’d rather tell it than write it.

Social media is the main culprit

If you don’t already feel shitty about your mediocre life, you will shortly after logging into Facebook, Instagram or some other fake ass fairy tale land most consider life. It’s here many mindlessly scroll to escape an existence from those who are telling the stories they love to read.

We all are escaping in one way or another. But we are easily misled by a career, money, or relationship we chase.

Social media does nothing but add a little twist to the knife of misery that has already entered your body. It’s the escape we all crave at our fingertips. No matter where you go, there you are, in walks…
