Is Chivalry Dead? If so, Who Really Suffers?

I believe it died long ago, not just in men, but woman too.

First, let’s define chivalry. I’m not gonna look it up, but it’s just being a decent human. Not even a man, a human. Treat people with kindness, respect and have morals.

Re-entering the dating world is no easy feat at 47

I’m no “Don Juan.” I get it. But I will treat women with respect. Respect doesn’t exist anymore in the dating world, nor do boundaries. So many people have been screwed over in relationships. They thought they found the “one” but are damaged beyond repair for the most part. And the direct repercussions of that are the “good” catches are DONE dating!

I’m not saying I am the perfect catch, but at least I am aware of all the madness and manipulation in the world. Everyone worries about themselves and doesn’t care who they hurt in the process. At times I question if that is me. But when I doubt myself, it’s because of a boundary I set with a girl she crossed. Then my everyday trauma-damaged brain believes her reality and not mine.

Setting boundaries as a 40+-year-old in the dating world is hard as fuck
