It’s another manipulation tactic they use to validate the “reactive abuse” they instigate.
Fuck yea they will. And rightly so.
Are you aware of the way you “react” to their abuse? Reactive abuse is one of the most manipulative ways a narcissists will trigger you to get the insanity to flourish so they can play victim.
I mean, it’s some academy award winning shit, not your anger, and reaction, but their manipulation.
You will do everything in your power to hold back from beating the fuck out of them. They will push you to that extreme. You will begin to think jail is worth one fucking throat punch. It can bring the most calm person to a level of anger they didn’t know was possible.
The punch you’d throw would have instant regret. Shortly after you would apologize as they smirk, and grasp control. Not of the situation, but of you.
It might take months, maybe years of repeated triggers, but in time, you will blow your lid, and fall right into the trap that you’re the abuser, and they aren’t. And hell, if you stay long enough you will even begin to question if you actually are.
