Is it Possible to Love Someone Too Much?

Generally love is often confused with control and obsession. Many define love all wrong.

They think knowing what’s best for someone and trying to control their thoughts, path and actions is love, it’s not.

Some think loving someone through abuse, disrespect, betrayal and manipulation is the ultimate form of love, “unconditional,” it’s not. It’s the furthest from it.

Some people think they can’t live without someone because they love them so much. That’s not love, it’s obsession.

Love can let go, even in times of pain.

The blunt truth is very few know what love is.

It’s not that butterfly feeling you get when you’re around someone. It’s not that sinking feeling you get when you lose someone(death, or break up).

The problem with “loving” too much is people often put to much effort into the wrong people, when they should be putting the effort into themselves.

We have a bunch of broken parents, family and friends declaring their love for you when they can’t stand the reflection in the mirror. And the distraction of “love” is safer and easier this way.
