No One is Reading Your Articles, so Quit Writing

It’s kind of similar to the old saying, “dance like no one is watching,” but does that hold true for writing also?

Do you sometimes find yourself holding back because you write as you behave in real life? Are you afraid of what people might comment or think about you if you write what you really feel? Are you afraid of upsetting someone? Are you afraid someone might read it that knows you personally?

All of these are legitimate concerns; we are human.

I know some that use an alias for their writing platforms; they are afraid someone might see what they write. What if you just wrote and didn’t care?

What if you were vulnerable and showed the writing world who is really behind the keyboard?

I get it, some professional writers write to a target audience, and they know what will generate a certain amount of income and views. I understand that. Unfortunately, that’s not me. I write about life experiences, and I am pretty open about what I write when I do so.

This form of writing can be a Catch 22; you have to have thick skin at times; because of the vulnerability and honesty, some won’t…
