Terrible Parenting is Everywhere, Are You One of Them?
Most that shouldn’t have kids do, and those that don’t, should
Let me start first by saying I’m not a parent. Did I ever want kids? Hell, I’m not sure how to answer that question. My first knee-jerk response would be a big NO! My ex-wife didn’t want them, but I grew up in a family where that is “what you were supposed to do.” Have the three kids and get the job you hate and live the American dream, right? I lived a hectic life in my younger years. Hell, I could barely take care of myself emotionally. Why the hell would I bring a poor kid into this mess?
I look at those deciding to have kids, similar to why some jump into starting a business. Most get into business for the wrong reasons, same with why some of the most mentally unstable pop kids out like it’s nothing. They are also the same parents that go around blabbing how great of a parent they are while their kids hate them.
Would I be a good Dad? I think I would be. If it were to happen at this time in my life, I know what it takes to be a good parent. Back when I was 25, hell fucking no. While I still struggle immensely, I had no fucking clue what was going on in life 20 years ago; I was a walking mistake. And after my last relationship, I saw the pure delusion most parents live in today…
