I don’t know if you’ve been on a dating app recently or ever. But I took a stab at it a few years ago with little success. I used the app Bumble. I spent a total of one month on the app.

Here are my results

At first, my expectations were low. Actually, I didn’t have any. I was in the process of removing myself from a very abusive relationship and thought meeting people would make me jump the hurdle.

I chose Bumble because it’s one of the less talked about and used apps, in my opinion. It’s not as large as Tinder or, at the bottom of the barrel, Plenty of Fish. I wasn’t on the app for a hookup, and I liked the business model of Bumble because the women had to reach out first. In a weird way, this seems like it would help with my confidence, something else I am working on.

I matched with three girls over that month

The first one looked nothing like her pictures. I seriously thought it was someone else when she walked out of her house when I went to pick her up. It was so bad I contemplated backing out of her driveway and leaving, but I knew that wasn’t the right thing to do. But we ended up having a great time, other than the attraction just…
