The Desperate Chase for Attention When the Narcissist is Low on Supply
What kind of desperation are we talking about here?
Desperate? Their desperation becomes their torture chamber.
Their whole life is one giant walking form of fucking desperation. They are desperate without “titles,” fuck buddies, attention, or drama. They are constantly on the prowl.
How desperate do they get?
Well, they will swallow their ego and throw out messages trying to bait the very person they completely fucked over. They will own all their abuse and promise to change. The victim will believe them.
There’s no way they are this vulnerable and open without wanting change, right? You really want to believe them this time.
This is cringe-worthy for a Narcissist. They fucked up again and have to recycle the old supply that they completely broke down and fucked over. They hate you as much as you hate them, but they hold their breath out of total desperation and hit send, “happy birthday.” That’s it, a simple “happy birthday.” They hope that does the trick and gets you to bite, then let you do the dirty work.
For now, they wait, and they have the patience of an obedient dog awaiting a treat when waiting for a response. And don’t believe…
