This is true. I wrote for 2 years on Quora before it was monetized or I found Medium. I always “thought” it would be nice to earn me earn money writing. My articles were getting engagement. It’s therapeutic to me. But I feel I’m getting dragged down the rabbit hole of claps, and money now that I came to medium.

I’d love to have writing be my sole income, but I’m not there yet. I have many kinks to work out.
