If you are anything like me, you went back more times than you care nor want to admit.
Why did you go back? No, I mean, really, why did you go back? Stop making excuses, and ask yourself why? I LOVE making excuses, it keeps me stuck.
For me, maybe it’s the same as you, is I believed every drama-filled, love bombing, promise, lie, and manipulation she spewed to me. Better yet, I dove headfirst in that shit! I loved the sweet honey on my ears. But in reality, what was she saying? Nothing, that’s what she was saying. She told me everything I “wanted” to hear to keep me stuck in the vicious cycle of abuse.
Did you notice I didn’t say I “needed” to hear it?
I need to hear she’s an abusive asshole that doesn’t give one flying shit about me and never did. But she will never say that. I mean, she might, if she is low enough with other men stroking her ego. If that’s the case, she will dive headfirst in accepting blame for everything until she doesn’t, then my fault and my fault only.
She may think she gave a shit, but she didn’t.
