What Are Signs You Need To Love Yourself More?
Often, self-love is overlooked, or confused with being selfish.
Three years ago, I had no Idea what self-love was, and I still struggle with it. After my third dysfunctional relationship, I knew something was off, but wasn’t sure what that “something” was.
I was attracting people to treat me exactly how I felt about myself, which wasn’t a good thing!
I’m still a work in progress, and self-awareness isn’t an easy journey, it’s hard as hell! And painful at that.
Here is a short list I put together to remind me what I need to do more of. While I don’t do it perfectly, I do it as “imperfectly” as I can.
1. Relationships: You will pick a person that mistreats you and accept it. You may even chase the very person that has proven to be untrustworthy, and abusive.
2. Career: You stay in a career that drains you and doesn’t offer anything else other than a paycheck.
3. People Pleasing: If you find yourself exhaustively trying to please everyone else, while forgetting about you. Put some of that effort back into you.
4. Approval: If you’re constantly worrying about what others think about you. The only opinion that matters is your opinion of yourself.
