What Bitter Truths in Life are Often Ignored?

Living in delusion is often easier than facing the truth

Life can be much easier but less rewarding if you live a life of delusion. Many lack the awareness needed to initiate change and self-growth. Most go through life chasing a new relationship, career, substance, or another form of distraction to avoid looking in the mirror.

Many people go through life believing what the media and their families tell them. Many signify success with careers, titles, and money, even if what they are doing in life is making you unhappy. What represents a “successful” life? Success can mean many things to many different people. Maybe you are chasing that career that you believe will fill that hole in your life? Perhaps you are trying to repair that marriage or relationship that has been damaged beyond repair? Maybe you live a life deemed “normal” by society standards, but you are dying a little more with each passing day.

The world runs around worrying about what others think when in reality, the only opinion that matters of you is “yours.’ It’s a simple concept to hear but a complicated concept to change.
