What Effect Has The Pandemic Had On You?

I drive Uber in Cincinnati Ohio. I picked up a passenger today and we are required to wear mask. When she got in, I greeted her as usual, she had a strong smell of perfume. I’m not sure if it was her perfume, or the mask. My throat started closing, eyes watering and I had trouble breathing. Thank God it was a short trip.
I was afraid to say anything, so I suffered. I didn’t want to offend someone that was physically making me uncomfortable. I didn’t want to endure the backlash from Uber, or what the passenger may say. So, I sat in silence and suffered, all because of fear.
We are living in a society, where our individual opinions and personal choices doesn’t matter. And if you are brave enough to express an opinion, you likely will be publicly shamed for it. So, what do we do? We adhere to the bigger “opinion” and ride their coat tails and beliefs.
We are living in a society where we are told what to do and when. We are told what is best for us, our kids, grandparents, parents, and life in general. And if you are one of the few that does your own research, you are considered a conspiracy theorist. And if you believe what is told by the media, you are called a “Sheep.”
