What if Your Life Coach Has More Issues Than You?
If you are aware, you will get my drift
So, you’re struggling, and I get it; most are. Hell, I do big time! But what I don’t get is an 11 Billion Dollar industry; that’s right, I said BILLION, that preys on the weak. The self-help industry has hit the US like a storm. Anyone can call themselves a “life coach” nowadays, and that alone should frighten you. The very people offering help are the some of the same people who dish out abuse and needs more help than what you are seeking.
I’ve been to several therapists, and I’d say at least 90% were crazier than me. I didn’t know it at the time, but through trial and error, life experiences, and awareness, I look back and think, “what the fuck was I thinking?”
My worst therapist experience
I had been going to this guy for about eight months. My ex-wife was going to another therapist in the practice. We were separated and working on our marital and personal issues.
Well, this was the day! My wife and our therapists were going to meet for a one on one. I needed this session; I prepared for it and took notes. I showed up, and her therapist was there, and so was my ex-wife. But my therapist was no where to be found. So, we wait. Her therapist calls him, no answer, so we wait longer, and he never showed up.
