We all have struggles, and some are of our own doing, while others just seem to happen.

Many go through life not taking accountability for parts in their life they seem to fail. It is much easier and less damage on the ego if you blame situations, events, or other people.

Even in the most toxic of toxic relationships, we all play “our” part. I am not saying we deserve abuse in a relationship, but there is a reason some stay and accept the abuse as a way of life. Your part of the abuse is finding out why you think you deserve the abuse in the first place. I know; I’ve been on this journey for a while now. It’s been painful, and that’s putting it lightly.

Below are a few lessons I’ve learned on my journey to self-awareness. I hope they benefit you in some way as they have myself.

None of us are getting out alive. We might as well make the best of the lessons dropped at our doorstep and create a better life with the time we have left.
