What’s Something You Wish You Knew Earlier in Life?
There are a few, but a big one is patience.
To be patient, be very patient. There are going to be some pretty shitty things happen to you in life that prepare you for better things to come. I was always looking for a way to escape them, rather than embrace them.
In doing so, I made some pretty horrible decisions, and picked up a few bad habits. It’s proven detriment the last five years of my life. Pretty much all aspects of my life have been a struggle. While it would be easy to blame everything on an abusive Ex., things go much deeper than that.
The bad choice I made in continuing a relationship with her led me to a self-awakening only someone of her behaviors could. While I would never want to repeat that type of abuse again, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I learned so much about myself, and a lot of what I learned I didn’t like.
But instead of wallowing in my misery like in the past, I began holding myself accountable. I really started looking at myself through a different lens. It hasn’t been perfect, but I am making progress.
There is a purpose for it, all of it, if you are paying attention.
Don’t spend so much time, and energy dwelling on things you can’t control, but go full send on things…
