Why A Creepy Psychological Fact Is Based Around Fear

We’ve been conditioned to run on drama and fear.

What’s creepy, as well as manipulative, is “The illusion of scarcity.”

Have you ever gone to buy a plane ticket and saw “3 tickets left at this price?”

Have you gone to book a hotel room, and you get “100 people are viewing this offer now?”

It’s all to create an illusion that you “might” miss out on the great offer, item or deal!

There are many different situations “scarcity” could come into play.

We have been conditioned to panic and fear missing out(FOMO), at least in America. America is built on “impulse” buying.

Just recently, with Covid-19, there was a run on Clorox and Toilet Paper.

I mean, I get the Clorox, but shit paper?

Then what happens? People became frightened and started hoarding toilet paper, Clorox, soap, etc.

The Illusion of Scarcity is the creepiest, in my opinion.

What happens when we are really faced with scarcity?

Look at the way humans react now to manipulation.

When scarcity becomes a reality, it will be very, very scary.
