Why Are so Many People Diagnosing Narcissistic Personality Disorder?
Short answer; to make sense of the insanity they are living.
I think they stumble upon self-diagnosis because they research exhaustively of what in the Sam-Fuck is happening. It is torturous and painful to deal with one of these individuals.
So, what do we do? We start researching and researching, watching hours upon hours of YouTube videos, and then finding Quora or Medium. We then begin reading answer after answer until we accidentally fall into a PhD on the disorder. I never expected to gain the type of education on the condition two years ago, and it has become almost an obsession.
Giving it a label is what some may need to finally start putting their sanity and “their” reality back together. My ex still doesn’t get it. And me trying to explain everything to her shows my “insanity.”
