The morning started as usual. I was up by 3am preparing for a multi-city trip with a very unorganized company I’d worked for the past 4 months. The year was 2013, and I sold my bakery a year prior and found the ideal travel job. I loved to travel, didn’t have kids, and was on my way through a divorce and found the perfect travel job to entertain my adventurous side.

The job requirements

The job required me to travel through 8 states making multiple stops along the way. Time management and organization were a must, as well as problem-solving skills. I loved the idea of being out and about, waking up in a new city every morning. The job was flexible, and I could plan my day accordingly, make stops, and do some sightseeing.

A lot of paperwork was involved, and attention to detail was vital. I was used to this type of detail because when I owned my bakery, I kept pristine records for my accountant come tax time. The job had little stress outside of what my employer managed to stir up. The most simple of tasks, some how they would seem to screw up.
