Why Is It So Difficult For Some People To Tell The Truth?
Stop expecting honesty from people that lie to themselves.
I’ve noticed that the majority of people that aren’t truthful and lie a lot are ones that lie to themselves.
They portray a life that doesn’t exist.
If you are constantly lying to yourself, how in the hell do you expect ever to tell the truth about anything?
And the terrifying part, most that do it aren’t aware they are doing it. In some delusional way, they believe the life they portray doesn’t exist. And those that get close to them are the only ones that know. And that is very few.
If you notice, liars don’t have many close friends; they have a lot of acquaintances but no friendships of substance. And if they do have any more intimate friends, their friend lives a bigger lie than their counterpart.
They speak delusion to one another while feeding each other’s shattered egos.
In walks the Narcissist.
A prime example.
It’s hard to tell the truth when you live a lie.
What a miserable way to live, but many do it every day
