Will a Narcissist Ever Consider Couples Therapy?
Why yes, they will! But they don’t need the help; you do!
Oh, hell, yes, they do. And if you’re lucky, they will be the one who picks the therapist. Once this happens, the table is already turned on you. You think you’re confused now? Wait until you get into therapy, and they both turn against you.
It’s a whole new level of mind fucking. You won’t know who, what, when, or where to believe. And don’t get frustrated or lose your shit in a session, because then the Narc has more firing power with proof you’re the fucking loon; they aren’t!
Narcissists willingly go to therapy for one of two reasons.
First, if they are going when you meet them, they will play the victim. They find some whacked-out, fucked up therapist just like themselves.
Here they go in and get a little “supply” kick while they play victim to everything they have done to people. They are telling on themselves but flip the script. Remember that abusive ex they told you about? Yep, they went to therapy for them too. See, do you see why you believed their manipulative ass?
Narcissists are great at projection and taking on the role of what they did to you but flipping it as you did it to them…
