I started my writing journey over on the most popular question/answer platform on the net, Quora. Man did I find my little “comfort” of miserable home.

I had just started educating myself on that new “buzz” word of the 21st century, Narcissism! You know, don’t act like you haven’t dropped that little nugget of a label to someone over the last six months.

Well, this is where it all started.

I came from a childhood of, “if you don’t listen, you will feel.” One where emotions would run high, but they weren’t talked about. One where fear ruled the roost, and everyone had to walk on eggshells to not upset the “bear,” or there was hell to pay.

Does that sound familiar?

But wait, maybe you were the “fixer.” Your Mother was a mentally unstable mess. Maybe she was dealing with an addiction of her own, or life stresses, and had no business bringing a child into the world. But out you popped, into a life you didn’t ask for. So now you are left here, in this wonderful world of anxiety, to undo all the fuck up of yourself by being raised by…
