You Aren’t a Writer, You’re Delusional
Harsh? Probably. Honest? Yes.
When I first found Medium, I thought; “What a godsend!”
Finally, a place where my heart felt work will be appreciated! Little did I know it was nothing but a platform of the “wannabes” trying to achieve something through a short cut.
Well, that, and if you are in the “click” they will wrap their arm around you, and use you until the next “fad.”
Yea, there are the few here that stir just enough controversy to get reads
But you best make sure it’s the right type of controversy. If it’s not, you will quickly be shown why you aren’t “algorithm” worthy.
Then there are those who have been here since Medium’s inception who are doing well, but that’s not the norm. But keep chasing that norm baby! You are next!
Medium is keeping you doing something, where your time, and energy, would be spent better else where
Now, hold up. I’m not saying you aren’t a good writer, but I am saying, you won’t get discovered “here,” writing on a platform that is designed to make money, while paying the writer as little as possible. They want to pay enough to keep you…
