Asking to be followed screams desperation

I’m not here to rip anyone, and you can work on building your following any way you like. What I don’t understand is coming into someone’s comment section of their article with a half attempt to comment on what you “say” you read and then asking to be followed. I’m pretty sure you didn’t read my article; I can sense things like that. Then I’m put in the situation of feeling guilty for not looking at your work. Most times it is something I would never read, sorry. It’s not the style of your writing, it’s something that has no interest to me. I have to have an interest in your topics to give my time in reading.

The worst comments are from writers asking me to follow them, and in return, they will follow me and comment and like all my articles. You do know it’s impossible to follow 1000’s of writers and comment and like every piece, right? I mean, you could maybe “like” every article, but you better set aside 24/7 to do so.

I get someone asking me to follow several times a week in my comment section. Usually I bypass that comment; it’s annoying; I’m sorry. You’re basically telling me what I write isn’t worthy of a read unless I follow you. My issue is I follow very few, and if I follow you, I will comment, READ, and like your articles. I still read my feed a few…
