You Only Love me When You’re Hungover
The feeling of being alone when I want you, but you don’t.
He remembers the first time you met, well, not met, but talked. Actually, not even talked, but he remembers your first message.
He was in a bigger mess than he is now, but none-the-less, he was struggling in every way manageable, just as he is today. The only difference is, back then you were more accepting. You acted as if you two would go to war together and tackle demons. This guy could do nothing wrong in your eye’s, at least that’s what you told him. You LOVED everything about him.
That’s until he would have feelings on certain things, sometimes on how you treat him. In the beginning you would actually talk to him about them, but not no more.
The only time you want to talk to him now is when you are hungover. If you aren’t hungover, he’s “too much.” He knows you don’t see it that way, but you don’t have to, he does, he’s not stupid.
Life appears to be better without him as long as you are sober. But if you need a little “pick-me-up” in-between benders, your “friend”, in him, is there to keep you company. He has never failed you has he? Of course he hasn’t, he has boundary and self respect issues. You don’t have to reciprocate nothing, but tell him you are, he will believe you.
